Nichalous holds an MBA from the University of Nottingham and a B. Eng. (Civil) (Hon.) from the University of Technology, Malaysia. He is a registered graduate engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia, a member of the Institute of Engineers of Malaysia, and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management.
Nichalous has more than 35 years of experience in the construction and property development industries and formerly held senior positions in publicly listed and MNC companies such as Cypark Landscaping (UAE), Berjaya Group (China), Eupe Berhad, and Greatearth Ltd. (Singapore). Some of his notable successful projects are the North-South Expressway, Wisma OCBC (KLHQ), Sandakan Harbour Square (Sabah), Palm Jumeirah Residence (Dubai), Metro Depot (Dubai), Kiulap 118 (Brunei), Parkcity Melia Residence (Sarawak), and the current ongoing SK Nexilis Malaysia Copper Foil Plant in KKIP.

Gary is a qualified and seasoned financial practitioner with over 33 years of professional corporate experience gained mostly with PLC in Malaysia and Japan. He was one of the pioneer team member of the JV Nishimatsu Construction Ltd involved in numerous landmark projects in Malaysia such as KLCC, KLIA, PNB Darby Park, Dorsett Regency Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Kuching Stadium, Taiyo Yuden Plant, Kuching Port and Sutera Harbour Resort Kota Kinabalu.
He played active role in the success corporate exercise of Wah Seong Corporation Bhd IPO, asset injection of ICSD Ventures Sdn Bhd (Ireka Group) into Aseana Properties Ltd, RM250mil term loan from MBB and OCBC Bank to finance the construction and completion of Four Points Sheraton Hotel and Harbour Mall in Sandakan, Sabah. He was also a senior
team member of Green Target Group that successfully developed the RM1bil integrated MesaHill @ Nilai project comprising 3,000 units of apartments linked to a retail MesaMall (anchored by Jaya Grocer and MM2 cinema).
